December 2011

Watch Jakobi and Ambiana Sing a Holiday Classic!

December has breezed by, it’s been really warm and not winterlike at all until today when we got 3″of snow. We celebrated the Solstice last night with our neighbors Matt and Meagan and their boys Rory and Noah as well as lexi and her daughter Linnea. Colleen made a black bean dark night soup, Lexi brought two awesome salads and Meagan brought the bread. Then we had a sunny cheesecake to celebrate the re-birth of the light.

We then went outside and decorated the winter tree with popcorn/cranberry strings and pine cones dipped in almond butter and covered with bird seed to help the critters through this time of need. We then lit candles and shared what brings light to our darkness.

On Sunday we are planning on hitting Jay Peak’s new water park if my hand is healed up enough. A piece of tin from our woodpile scalped the knuckle on my index finger last Friday as I was securing it from the gusts of wind that were moving through our area

Ambiana loves her marble set she got from Grandma Kris
