We went down to Greenfield on Saturday and spent the night and next day with Gaelen and Phoenix. Molly was in Ohio visiting her dad so we missed her. It was fun to hang with G who is busy with online school at Greenfield Community College. We took a short walk to a park beneath the Poet’s Seat on Sunday and played a 5 inning game of whiffle ball. I was the pitcher for both teams and G and Bobi beat Colleen and Ya 7-1. The drive there and back was beautiful through lingering autumn colors.
Jakobi loves the chickens and spends time with them everyday. She has taught them some tricks using a leaf as a reward and a prop.
On Wednesday we drove into Montpelier so Ambiana could meet up with Erika and Fiona for an acapella concert outdoors in Hubbard Park. It was a beautiful performance and so nice to hear some live music.
Before heading to Massachusetts I tiled in a circle above our sink which Colleen will now fill in with a tile mosaic. I also installed the thermostat for the heater in the treehouse and tested it out and it works! So we have a heated tree house for you if you want to come out and spend sometime with us this winter and take advantage of the great cross country and Nordic skiing right outside our door
