We have been in our new home 3 weeks now. We are hoping to close on May 24th and be proud land and camp owners. What better birthday gift I can not imagine! We finally got all our stuff out of the storage container a Colleen is having a field day organizing it all. Our place is so much more homey with our table and sofa and new rug on the floor and we love sleeping in a bed after a month of camping out on thermarest pads and sleeping bags.
I took out the wall between the front room and one of the bunk rooms and used the boards to board up the wall between the two bunk rooms. We also bought some plywood to wall up the bigger bunk-room as this is the girls toy and play room
By far the hardest job was moving the outhouse from the middle of the meadow to beside our home. It was f&%$ing heavy and Colleen and I rolled it across the field and up the hill and used 2×4’s to leverage back to an upright position. It also doubles as our cookhouse when it rains because our Coleman Stove is too fumey to use in the house and we have no other covered outdoor space at this time as under the house is crammed with the previous owner’s and our extra stuff. Luckily our poo doesn’t smell because we cover it with sawdust so cooking is not a stinky ordeal. We are buying a propane stove and oven this week.
When it is not raining we cook right off our front deck.

Anafeather, Lee and Kariah came over last weekend for brunch-in-the-meadow and to check out our new place.
