I came home from my drive to Boston day and found Jakobi in her room with this little cutie. A black mewing furball all paws and playful. Jakobi and Ambiana facetimed a name and came up with Sebastian. Jakobi thinks she got it from a Sebastian that Lou Costello played in one of the many Abbot and Costello movies she loves.
Super mild temps with below freezing nights and it’s time to tap our eight trees and that night we get a wet eight inches of heavy snow and Colleen proposes a ski on Sunday morning along the mountain trail into to town to check out the new coffee shop at the post office space and then run back.
It’s a fun easy ski 5.25 miles to the cafe, wet snow makes for easier downhills and it wasn’t cold enough to clump up the skis so we cruised only the find the cafe is not open Sundays so we sought our refreshment at LBJ’s which is open every day. The paved roads were clear of snow and easy running but once we got to the ledge the muck and mud and slush and potholes that was the road made running sloppy and slippier. A fun morning together for Colleen and me.
