On Monday our flight was not until 11:50pm and Dale and Kristie were working and Justin was in school so we decided to spend the day in downtown Denver at the 16th Street Mall…
…and the Denver Art Museum!
It was a pleasant surprise how much we enjoyed the 2 hours we spent there. The building was very modern with lots of interesting angles, staircases and exhibit spaces.
The collection was amazing too with three floors of Indigenous art.

There were cool terraces on each of the 7 floors overlooking the downtown.
They even had a painting by my favorite American landscape artist Thomas Cole!

Impressive Asian Exhibits as well
After dinner we headed to the airport and caught our red eye to Philadelphia where we slept for a few hours at the gate and then caught a quick flight to Boston where we retrieved our car and drove 3.5 hours home where we found our snow almost gone!
