Skiing Stowe

I enjoyed sking Stowe so much last year with Gaelen that this year I bought a 5 day pass which makes a day of skiing cost $40 compared to the 1day lift ticket I bought last year for $139

Mondays is my ski day and last week was my first. I was bluebird and sunny when I left home but by the time I got to Stowe it was clouded in and they were making snow and visibilty was awful. Being my 1st day I skiied for about 2 1/2 hours before my legs said enough. I rode the new 6 person chair most of the time and cruised on my new skis (ski swap $40) and then took a run on my snowboard which after the morning took to much effort so I went home. Skiing is definately less work on the legs than snowboarding. I will wait til spring when the snow is soft strap on my board again.

This Monday after our Arctic Blast weekend of -24 degrees it was in the mid 30’s and drizzling when I drove in and the first few runs were in the clouds.

But by 11:30am the clouds had moved out and sunny skies were in! Skiing in the sun is such a different experience. So beautiful the views.

Looking out at the Worcester Range which we live behind!

The Epic Pass has an App that tracks all kind of stats…

…and even tracks all my runs plus my walk back to the car to grab a different pair of skis and a jacket.

Football

Its that time of year when I hit the bar to watch NFL playoffs. No really good games this year except for Cinnci and KC. I was rooting for Cinnci so GO EAGLES in Super Bowl LVII

Ben’s Family

Ben got to spend time with his gals on Maui over the holidays!

My girls are busy. Ambiana works 2 jobs, is taking a college class at CVC and a dance class on Mondays. Jakobi is figure skating, taking a dance class and doing nordic. Colleen held down the East at Ice on Fire the Imbolc fest here in Montpelier. None of us went this year but her due to conflicting schedules. On Sat Night Colleen had a date night; we danced to the 1st set of Chad & Primo at Bent Nails Bistro in Mont-P and then went Contra Dancing for only the 2nd time since the pandemic hit. They still require us to wear masks which sucks but its better than not dancing. Hopefully they will realize the pandemic is over soon.
