My dad died on February 28th in Florida. He had been ill for years and this past year he really was not well. His last round of chemo really took a toll on him and he never recovered. We gathered in Toledo for Thanksgiving to say Good-Bye and we gathered again on March 9th to lay him to rest.

Jakobi and Aunt Patti who really did the brunt of the work helping to manage my dad’s final wishes and being there when he died.
All the cousins came to the funeral and Ben spearheaded the cleaning of the basement and the garage, We pulled out the grill, borrowed a firepit form the neighbors and had a cookout in the backyard.

Deb Olson
We also lost our Hawaiian Tutu Deb Olson on February 8th. I had no idea she was suffering from a brain tumor and was shocked when I opened my Facebook page and learned she had died. She was such a loving and generous lady and we enjoyed immensely our time with her in Hawai’i. She was especially great with Ambiana and Jakobi and we will miss her dearly the next time we are on the Big Island.
We did have some good times, Colleen went to Dance Flurry in Saratoga Springs NY for a weekend of dance and fun and I took the girls to Boston to visit Gamma and visit the Children’s Museum and the Museum of Science.
The girls and I also entered a snowman contest and got our picture in the paper and free sugar on snow!
