New World Festival
On Labor day weekend John and Eden along with Gaelen came up and spent the weekend with us
We went to the new World Music festival in Randolph VT. Music? The cornstarch was the big attraction!

Colleen’s 37th Birthday Hike
For her birthday Colleen wanted to hike part of the Long Trail as a family! So she planned a 6 mile loop in and back over 3 days. Here we are at the start on Friday Night.
We hiked 1.2 miles that night on the Babcock Extension trail and set up camp off the trail above muddy pond.

We hiked the next day to the the junction with the Long Trail
and built rock people.
Then we entered Devil’s Gulch.
Lots of cool rock formations
The girls were such great hikers, way beyond our expectations and we made it 2 miles to our end point before noon where there was a great overlook.
This is the shelter; the camping wasn’t great so we decided to hike back a mile to camp by another pond.

Ambiana promptly fell in the pond!
But we had a warm fire to warm her up once she was done swimming.
There was a great float which was great fun
