Sunset Drive-In
Jakobi and I headed to the Drive-In on Friday August 4th to watch THE MEG 2. We dodged the rain but the humidity was such that the picture on the screen was washed out at times. We had a good time and even did the stick dance at intermission then left before the 2nd movie because we were tired.
Rita, Robbie and Bart Visit
Rita and Robbie who we befriended in St John’s in December came to visit on Thursday August 10th and brought along Bart. They camped in their campervan in our yard and we thouroughly enjoyed thier brief visit. We can’t wait to visit them in DC this fall.
NH Pondhouse
We spent the week of August 14th at a pondhouse in Woodstock NH just south of Franconia Notch. It was super fun to hang out with our friends and Gaelen and Heather who are back from their winter in Colorado and Summer in Oregon. It rained everyday but two but we didn’t let it get us down.
Lili gave everyone but me a sweet henna tattoo. Here she is putting a dragonfly on Jakobi’s back.
Lost River Gorge
The highlight for me, other than seeing Gaelen again was a trip to the Lost River Gorge.
Amazing mile long boardwalk built intertwining up and around the gorge with 11 boulder caves to crawl through.
There was even an overlook over the valley where Ambiana got her “TITANIC” on.!
Me and Colleen’s favorite boulder cave had a waterfall within!
The trail came to an end at a giant birds nest full of these wacky birds!
FAMILY NEWS
Our favorite little niece out in California OONA! is starting kindergarden!!!! Her cute little face brought up memories of our little bobi whenshe was about that age so here she is!
