Jakobi’s Harry Potter Party
‘ Jakobi turned 9 back in July but her party was held last saturday celebrated along with Colleen’s 42 birthday. It was a Harry Potter affair and here the kids are lined up for the sorting hat.
After sorting there were 4 classes in divination, potions runes and the care of magical creatures!
Jakobi is a griffindor! It was alos a sleep over and the last guest left 24 hours after the party began. Fun night!
VAN MORRISON
Thirty one years ago while travelling in England with a college girlfriend we happened upon the Pilton Pop Festival better known as the Glastonbury Festival. It was my first taste of a big sprawling camp out festival and unfortunately we were not camping but staying at a bed and breakfast. It was a Sunday and in order to catch the last bus to our B&B we had to leave by 7pm just when Van Morrison was coming on stage. I will never forget listening to a 30 minute opening instrumental of Moondance as we made our way out of the festival grounds to the bus stop. The relationship with the girl soon after dissipated and the seeds were already sown by the time we were at the festival and I have often wondered what it would have been like to leave her to catch that bus alone while I remained to begin my post collegiate life anew rockin’ out to Van. Life led me to the backpacking lifestyle anyway and brought me back this night to Boston with the love of my life to finally be present for an entire Van Morrison concert. and it was awesome, we danced the whole set through and connected with other couples who’s paths to Van were as convoluted as mine…
…and to top it off the universe saw fit to seat us at the same table as one of my FTY customers from Lexington, Laura and Dave Dimattia!!!!
We found a cool sculpture garden near the concert where we spent some time before and after the show!
We stayed in Allston where I lived 30 years ago!!!
Construction Update
Built the steps to the winter home mudroom; 51 inch rise, 90 inch run, 9 steps with a 5 3/4 riser and 10 inch tread
