Colleen Goes to Florida
The last weekend in June had our family on three different trajectories, On Thursday morning Colleen boarded a flight in Burlington for Florida where she was meeting up with her 3 best friends for a beach weekend.

Ambiana Spends the Week with Erika
Meanwhile Ambiana who finished her Sophomore year in High School last week this week started a summer job working for the City of Montpelier with her friend Erika. She moved in with Erika for the week as the job is in Montpelier and spent the weekend there as well. I have not seen her since last Tuesday.
Jakobi & Mochi go to a Mountaineer’s Game
So that leaves Jakobi and I alone at home for the weekend. On Friday we went to our first Vermont Mountaineer in 2 years. It was a fun game, Jakobi had a friend there and the Mountaineers won 11-7

Jakobi & Mochi go to the Drive-In
On Saturday night we drove out to Colchester and the Sunset Drive-In.
We watched “Werewolvws Within” which was suprisingly good and the 9th Fasat and Furious movie “F9” which was ridiculous and fun!
But our favorite part was the intermission filler and we did the soda dance as we do every time we come to the drive-in! The last movie ended at 1am. I had purchased a coffee at the snack bar upon arrival and drank it starting at 12:30am to be alert and awake for the hour drive home. We sometimes camp but the afternoon was wet and rainy and a $2 coffee seemed a better bargain then a $50 place to sleep for a few hours,
Construction Update: Sauna
I finished the tile in the sauna where the stove will go including up to and above the stovepipe hole.
One of the four Pele tiles I made shattered when it was fired last week so I had to make a new one. It is now drying so it will be a few weeks before I can complete the tiling on the back wall and then install the stove and stovepipe.
P.S.
On Monday we called up Ambiana & Erika and asked if they wanted to go swim at Bristol Falls with us and they did so we picked them and Astra up at 1pm and drove beautiful Rt 100 down the Mad River Valley, through Moretown and Waitsfield, up Rt17 past Mad River Glen and over the Gap to Bristol which was our basecamp back in 2008 when we were living out of our car for the summer looking for a home in Vermont.
It was summer hot out and the water was super refreshing.
Jakobi jumped off the cliffs and we all swam beneath the falls and climbed up into the cave behind them.
It was nice to re-connect with Ambiana who we hadn’t seen since Tuesday!
