12 Days in England

We spent the Holidays in England leaving on a Tuesday; the day after the December Flood. Our creek rose to Hurricane Irene heights for the 2nd time in 5 months. It tore up our road and made for some last minute scrambling on Tuesday to do laundry and move the bunny which we did not get to on Monday as we were monitoring creek level and road conditions. Rt 12 closed so it was a good thing we did not got out. While it was comparable to the July Flood for us, down in Montpelier only some basements flooded.

Meanwhile in Iceland the volcanic eruption they had been waiting for outside of Grindavik finally happened, also on Monday which was a concern for us as we were flying Iceland Air through Kerflavik Airport to London. Checking the our flight status we were relieved to see in Bold Red that the airport and flights in Iceland were not affected by the current eruption. Maybe we would see lava as we landed!

Stay tuned for a new link in the Trips Menu (ENGLAND 2023) where you can share in our time in England but until then here are some pictures of our fun!
