Our dear friend Erika AKA Wiki turned 15 this past Saturday and her birthday celebration was a day trip to the near by Green River Reservoir for a swim followed by Calzones at our house with a double feature of IT and It Chapter Two up in the Long House. It seemed everybody else had the same idea to head out to the Reservoir as it was 80 degrees and sunny out
We managed to find an unoccupied spot on one of the small islands for our picnic and swim. Mark, Sara, Ollie, Jen and Maple, Eliana, Lexi and our family made up the party.
Jakobi and Ollie wanted to be elsewhere but came under protest and Jakobi made the best of it but Ollie kept himself apart.

Cake and presents, lots of swimming and food, lots of sun and beautiful views. Such a beautiful place to spend a hot summer day. Calzones back at our house were a hit and the girls stayed up until 1:30am watching their movies before sleeping up in the Long House.
On Sunday the hiked Mt. Elmore and spent the afternoon swimming in Lake Elmore.
Tree House Update:
Over the weekend I sided the front deck of the tree house. Going for the same look as the Winter House; 1″ x 8″ hemlock board and batten. A bit scary on the ladder on the tree house up high but doable. Feel like I want to side the whole thing with hemlock and forego the metal roofing idea for siding.
Jakobi goes 2 the Atlantic
Jakobi was invited by her friend Flora to go to the beach on Sunday. She got up at 4:30am for the 3 hour drive to the beach at Portsmouth NH and was back by 7:30pm. We missed her but knew she was having fun!
