Jakobi’s New Look Update
Jakobi wanted short hair and Colleen cut it,she is our firs child to have a major hair cut, Ambiana’s has just been trimmed!
Construction Update
I have spent the past 4 days building up the fireplace, here it is with 9 new rows of firebrick on the fireback, notice the 8 degree slope to reflect heat back into the long house.
The blue tarp is great shade on hot days and keeps the rain off.
Here the walls are built up to the fireback height. The board is at 4′ and will be the height of the fireplace. The fireback will continue to slope up until 5′ and then the damper will be placed athwart it.
