We spent the weekend in Goshen Connecticut at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival! It was our 21st year attending! Jaime and family were back also after skipping last years festival and Ambiana brought Tim and jakobi brought Orren so it truly was afamily affair.
We camped in the usual spot and the weather could not have been better. In the 70’s with no rain all weekend long!!!!

I camped out in my home base shelter all three days checking out the music between trips to the dance tent for awesome contra dancing with the Gaslight Tinkers and rounds of stories from the Storycrafters

I cooked all my meals on my firebox stove using 1/2 box of twigs i collected before we left.

Orren worked concessions, Jakobi drove the hospitality gilf cart and Ambiana made an impact in First Aid by turnig people onto the healthy benefits of plantain!
The Slambovian Circus of Dreams rocked out the workshop stage on Friday night and the main stage on Saturday night.

The closing act was an awesome Eileen Ivers and the Brigadeens! Such and amazing fiddler. The highlight was a Fleetwood Mac twofer of “landslide” and “the chain”.

We ended the festival as usual at Dos Amigos stuffing ourselves with mexican Food and desserts!
Meanwhile in Hope Alaska
My Alaskan family was on tour with the Photon Band who were appearing at several venues in AK the past week or so. On FRFF weekend they were in Hope where I helped throw the very first Photon band show at the Hope Social Hall in the Autumn of 1997. This time around they were playing at a place called Creekside which i have never visited but I felt I had to be there and thanks to Emma Kramer and my bro Ben and the FB Photon Group I was able to share in the festivities.
