We celebrated the arrival of Spring on Sunday MARCH 19th by holding our annual Egg Hunt & Toss. It was a wintery day with snow squalls and temps in the 20’s but we built a big fire and the sun came out periodically to lighten things up.
Colleen and I spent a few hours on the Friday before digging out the fire pit and picnic table and paths to access them all and they got all filled up with partygoers and people!
It’s a potluck too and there was lots of yummy food!
While Colleen told the Spring Tale I hid the eggs for the younger kids and had to Keep J.B. in line because he would scamper across the snow and batt at the egss and pounce on them,
The egg hunt was a free for all on the deep snow filled steep hillside with kids of all ages scurrying up as best they could to get at the eggs.
The Egg Toss
We has 16 teams in this years egg toss and good fun was had by all. I was to busy competeing and tunning the thing to take pictures. The finals featured Maia & Heidi Winter VS. Mark &Corrina. It was a hard fought toss back and forth and big steps back and back and forth and finally Mark and Corrina were crowned the Eg g Toss Champs for 2023 and took home a dozen eggs!
More Snow!
The week before the Egg Hunt we got 18″ of fresh snow over the course of 2 days. A backloaded Winter! Unfortunatley at this time of year it is all heavy wet snow but still a beautiful sight!
St Patricks Day
St Patrick’s Day was on Friday and my family reminisced via a text thread how much Momma loved this day and would send us off to school with shamrocks pinned to our clothes.
Susanna and Oona celebrated with green milk and Lucky Charms cereal!

Ambiana found us two tickets for Taylor Swift in May at Foxbourough Massachusetts and later in the summer Jakobi and I are going to the same stadium to rock out with Beyonce!
