September Fun!

Gaelen comes to visit!

Gaelen and his girlfriend Heather came to visit the first week of September. They spent 5 nights in the treehouse and spent a couple days in Burlington while also exploring the area around Worcester and even climbing Worcester Mt! It was nice to have such an extended time with him and his new gal is pretty neat! They are planning on moving out to Colorado this fall and spending the Winter at Winter Park!

Meet J.B.!

We are finally ready and we got a new cat or more accurately a kitten, JB! We found him through friends and picked him up in Orange VT from a nice family. He is a boy! And boy his he cute!

He is super different than Thomas and the girls a very good Mama Cats to him!

Friday Night Light!

Friday September 16th was Homecoming at U32 and Jakobi and I went to the football game (We lost 42-14) but the experience was super fun.

No bleachers, everyone sits on the hill side! Except for that scrum of people on the track above. That is the student body. I enjoyed the game and talking with other parents and afterwards they had a bonfire in the parking lot. Jakobi was excited to hang with all her friends and we are already looking forward to the next home game

U-32 X-Country Invitational

Ambiana ran her 2nd cross country race on Saturday September 17th at U-32. It was a big meet, lots of schools and Ambiana ran with the Varsity team

. She placed 47th out of about 90 and was the 5th member of her team to finish so she contributed to the scoring.

Unfortunately they tied Hardwood Union and the tie breaker went to the 6th finisher which U-32 did not have as 2 runners dropped out of the race which gave Harwood the win.

Red Sox 13 Royals 3

On Saturday September 17th Jakobi and I drove down with Christine, Nora and Levi to Boston. We spent the night in Milis with Jayme, Andrea, Leelee and Lando

We drove into Boston on Sunday and Blue Biked around the Esplanade before heading into Fenway for the game.

We had seats on the first base side and it was a fun game! The lead changed hands 4 times in the first 3 innings then Boston ran away with it. They piled up 20 hits and 13 runs to the Royals 8 hits and 3 runs. Plenty of action!

Behind the bleachers is the new music venue which also includes a concourse for food and beverage. The security guy told me they removed 3 rows from the top of the bleachers to make room for standing room and table seating. It looks pretty nice but I miss being able to look over the wall and gaze out over the Boston skyline.

Construction Update: Hot Tub

The Hot Tub is nearly complete. I built steps and a small 3/4’s deck to sit upon and dangle legs in. T

he tiling is complete and the tub is holding about 2″‘s of rain water. Now it is time to install the stove.
