Colleen and I headed to Manchester VT this past weekend for a Greatful Dead themed festival!
It was held at Hunter Park which was a beautiful venue surrounded by mountains
Colleen made a sock puppet and named it “Norbert”
It was like our 5th date! We camped and made meals by our car just like we did 20 years ago when we left Alaska!
The music was super good especially on Friday night when Steely Dead and Prince/Bowie were the headliners!
The people were super fun as well and we had a blast dancing with lots of fun people!
On Saturday we worked our volunteer shifts all day and then enjoyed Melvin Seales and JGB.
The Dorset Quarry
The music went all day Sunday as well but it was super hot and we ducked out at 2pm and went to swim at the Dorset Quarry.
Dinner with Gaelen & Heather at Killington!
And then on our way home we stopped in Killington and took Gaelen and Heather out to dinner at the Killington grand Hotel. Gaelen got us a 60% discount and we ate $200 worth of food for $80! And it was delicious! Especially the desserts!
Gaelen and Heather are loving their summer and spending lots of time getting acquainted with mountain biking!
The Drive-In with Bobi
Earlier in the week Jakobi and I went to our annual summer night at the drive-in at the Sunset Drive-In in Colchester and saw an awesome double feature of “Jurassic Park: Rebirth” & “Megan 2.0”
And we did our stick dance to the soda pop intermission countdown!
Meanwhile in the Adirondacks
Ambiana spent mid-week hiking in the Adirondacks where she discovered this awesome glacial lake!
