Lake George Camping

September…Labor Dauy Weekend…Our first week without Ambiana at home or even in America! On Friday we picked up Jkobi from School ad drove 3 hours West to an RV Campground in Lake George NY. It was a party weekend campground, the kind where folk like to float in the river in tubes drinking beer or hang out on the samll sandy riverbend beach drinking beer. The campground was basically a big RV parking lot and we got lucky getting a spot nxt to the river with some nice big trees for shade and hanging the hammock

Hayden talked Colleen and Debbie into taking us all to Six Flags: Great Escape on Saturday which was fine with us all. I sat in the shade at the water park while everyine else rode rollercoasters then joined me for a lap around the lazy river and a screaming good time on the Rogh Rapids Ride where we got soaking wet.

Much time was spent around the campfire and in the arcade playing pool and Pac-Man. I got the high score on both Pac-Man and Galaga, both my games in the 80’s! Spencer had a friend with him, Vlad, formerly of Ukraine who met Spencer at Lego Camp. Sunday we spent down by the river where a bunch of kids on the beach joined Hayden and me for a massive fun game of ‘ball’.

Jakobi had auditions for the U-32 Musical: The Last Starcatcher the follwoing Friday September 8th which also happened to be Colleen’s 47th Birthday! While Jakobi was auditioning we went out to dinner with Corinna and Mark and theor friends Terry and Gary and then went to the Zenbarn to rock out with their band friends The Dead Winter Carpenters. Christine, Marlk Powell and Tara joined us there for an awesomely good time. The band had a killer guitarist and fiddler and they played the best Dead Cover of MIssissippi Two Step that I have ever heard. After the show on the way home Colleen got a text from Jakobi telling her she got the part of SMEE, on of the leads!!!!

Meanwhile Across the Atlantic Ocean….
