Friday Night Camping Trip
I picked up Ambiana after theater practice and we drove to the Duxbury Window trailhead and hiked 2.7 miles and 1500 vertical feet in 75 minutes to our campsite arriving 45 minutes before dark with enough light to set up the tent and cook a cheesy past meal on the firebox wood burner stove. The moon came out, leaves gently fell and during the night a gentle rain fell.
In the morning it was misty and cloudy. The plan was to climb Camel’s Hump but a mile into the hike it began to rain heavy and once above tree line visibility was 100 feet so we decided to turn back as there would be no views from the top and the footing was treacherous. We backtracked to camp and packed up and headed down and by the time we reached the Duxbury Window the sun was our and the clouds had lifted.
A Visit to the Pumpkin Patch
On Sunday we went to Dog River Farm and picked out our pumpkins.
