We arrive in Hawai'i

On the Plane

We boarded the plane at 7pm on Sunday evening and flew to Fiji and got off and back on and flew to Honolulu and caught a third plane to Hilo. Ambiana slept most of the way, wish we could say the same.
We caught our first glimpse of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa on the Big Island at sunrise as they loomed over the clouds!!

Hilo

We were met in Hilo by Erika, a friend of the WWOOFing hosts we will be staying with in Puna. She took us shopping for breakfast and we spent the morning at her place with her husband Justin and their son Ajita, 4 months old!

In the afternoon they took us to Four Mile Beach near the Hilo Airport and we got to swim in the sea once again. It feels really good to be in Hawaii and Erika and Justin have been really kind to us. They took us to a Krishna chanting Pizza feast in Puna later that evening and we slept in a camper in a bamboo forest by a bubbling stream and a small water fall!!!
