The Winter solstice was on Sat, Dec 21, 2024, 4:21 AM and it dawned clear and cold here in Worcester Vermont. It really feels like a pre-climate change Winter so far. We have decent snow cover and have been skiing in the woods and skating on the pond.

On Sunday we combined Christmas with our Solstice celebration opening Santa filled Stockings and eating our Solstice dinner of Black Bean Soup (the Dark Night) and Passion Fruit Cheesecake (the Returning Light)
