Jakobi’s 2nd Birthday Party
We celebrated Jakobi’s 2nd Birthday on August 2nd at our home. My parents came as did my sisters Patti and katie and her husband Bob and daughter Maya.

Construction Progress
Work on the longhouse is progressing slowly as life intrudes. If I am lucky I can work on it 4 hours a day. July and August were devoted todigging the holes for the footings, building the concrete forms and hauling the concrete ingredients up the hill, mixing them up and filling in the forms. I ran a water line from the creek to the construction site but that was the eay part as each footing (there are 12) takes only one 5 gallon bucket of H20 while needing 8 wheelbarrow loads of sand, gravel and cement. These are not full loads as I have to push each load up the hill and it is freaking heavy. Each load was 4 shovel full of sand, 2 of cement and 6 of gravel.
