Joe Wagner and I caught the TARTA bus downtown on a school night and rocked the f%&k out at the Toledo Sports Arena. “Crazy Train” was all over WIOT 104.7FM and it was even better live. We stood to the left of the stage halfway up the seats with a great view of the action.
I saw him less than a year later on the “Diary of a Mad Ma” tour. This time I stood on the floor halfway back near an aisle to the floor. There was an elaborate stage set of dungeon and there were midgets. I think Chuck was with me. I remember seeing men in suits, jackets off beer in hand pumping their fists. Both shows rocked. Both show featured Randy Rhoads on guitar who was an unbelievable shredder and who tragically died less than two months later.
It’s gonna be a hot time in Valhalla tonight when Ozzy and Randy reunite.
