After the exhileration of sweeping the Yanks the Sox came apart in the late innings and were unable to beat the strugglin' Jays who have dropped 5 in a row before tonight. The only highlight of this game was Dustin Pedroia's 2 run double in the 4th.

That 2-1 lead was quickly erased by a 2 run Frank Thomas homer in the 6th. The Jays added another run in the inning to lead 4-1. The Sox got one back in the bottom of the 6th on a throwing error and that was all for the Red Sox. The Jays added another run in the 8th and 2 more in the 9th as the bullpen struggled and the Sox squandered scoring opportunities by leaving men on base. Wili Mo Pena struck out 4 times and the line-up surely misses Coco who was sitting out with a strained oblique.
