A Busy Weekend in Boston

Maya's Wizard of Oz Party

We went back to Boston with Gaelen on Friday night so we could attend Maya's birthday party which had a Wizard of Oz Theme. Katie went all out as you can see by the cake. It was a costume party as well...Maya was Dorothy of course...

...Ambiana was Galinda the Good Witch...

...Gaelen was the Tin WoodsMan...

...Gamma was the Cowardly Lion...

...and Colleen was the Scarecrow.

Katie had crafts and games and all kinds of fun, she laid down a Yellow Brick Road from the sidewalk into the house...

...and had a toss the heart in the tin man game set up in the backyard...

...and then there was the Over the Rainbow Pinata...too much fun was had by all and the cake was yummy. We spent two nights at Katie's. We are gonna miss them when they move onto Montana in June. Gaelen and I stayed upon Saturday night and watched the Red Sox beat the Orioles in HDTV!!!

The Ulinkski's

On Sunday we met up with my friend Chris Ulinkski and his famliy. Chris is in town to run the Boston marathon (He did well, 3:37, really well).

We walked up to the Public Garden and rode the Swanboats. Ambiana didn't want to go but I did, can you spot her, and Colleen and Gamma on the bridge???

We then ambled over to the North End for lunch. I haven't seen Chris in 17 years and a few hours was hardley time to get all caught up but it was a start.

Here we are "Outstanding in our Field" way back in 1982 in Ohio...

...and here we are with a couple of ladies way back when we thought we were studs in 1983 :)

Gaelen's Pictures

Gaelen has a digitalcamera and he took all the following pictures all on his own.
