Gamma came and spent the weekend with us. We were busy working on our garden and we managed to also go to another Beltaine Celebration in Brookfield where we danced the maypole, ate a yummy potluck and warmed ourselves round a fire listening to drums.

Ambiana is helping mommy pick out seed for her garden.

...and then she helps plant them. Her garden is a small wheel next to our big garden. She planted flowers and broccoli and peas and cauliflower.

Here the girls plant beans and squash in the front tee pee garden. We have listed ourselves with the WWOOF-USA group and hope to get some WWOOFers to help us with the garden this summer.

I finally bought the plastic for the greenhouse and put it on this past weekend. Now we don't have to take out and bring in the plants every night.

I have also been working on making lots of little fairy pools for Ambiana and Gaelen to splash in this summer, pulling out all the muck and dead tree limbs and leaves from our creek and damming up the pools with rocks and sticks and mud just like the beavers. Ya is a big help and so is Gaelen when he is here.
On a sad note, our landlady Tarin is dying of cancer. Her family and friends held a vision quest on the property over the weekend to ease her on her journey. There where about 50 people here over the weekend gathering together to support her and Daniel and Flora-se and the rest of the family. Community is very strong here which is why we like it so much here.
