More Florida

Monday was the only Spring Training game we went to, the rest of the week was spent going to the beach and loungin' around the house. The beach we went to on Tuesday stunk, literally, there was a red tide and the surf line was thick with algae, stinky algae, I went briefly in the ocean as did Gamma but Colleen and Ambiana wanted nothing to do with it and walked down the beach to a hotel and splashed in the pool.

Wednesday was a house day and the house we had a sweet pool and we swam in it every afternoon. Ambiana hung on the steps and floated on the noodle when someone helped her. On Friday we found a small turtle in the pool!

On Thursday everyone but Tony went to the beach. This time we drove to Lighthouse park beach Sanibel Island. It was hot with no shade and we swam and played in the sand. Ambiana played plover, runnin' from the waves!

Our camera is failing as you can tell by this picture of Ambiana and her new sunglasses :(

After returning from the beach we hung at the pool, Colleen (and Jacoby) caught up on some reading in the hammock...

...while Gramps floated in the pool...

...and Ambiana took on Gamma in a game of Giant Checkers.

On Friday we found the best beach yet on the North end of Sanibel Island. It had great sand, big waves and less people. Colleen made a sweet sand turtle with a shell-shell which drew raves from the folk walking the tideline.

Ambiana buried daddy-moch in the sand and watered him so he would grow (mommy helped:).



We drove by this Ice-Cream shop 3x's before finally stopping in on Friday afternoon.
