Winter weekend

On Saturday we tried to hike up Mt Elmore just up the road from our home. There was a big snowmobile event going on on the frozen lake, the sky was blue, the sun was warm but Ambiana was not feeling too well and we only made it halfway up before turning back. Ya was a trooper and wanted still to go to the contradance that night so we did even though she barfed at dinner. She was a super trooper and snuggled mommy the whole night and really enjoyed watching the dancing and listening to the music.

On Sunday we decided to stay indoors so we planned a trip to the St Johnsbury Planetarium and Museum. We were expecting more planetarium and less museum but it was the other way around. It was an old museum, a fine example of a Victorian museum with lots of stuffed animals and birds. The planetarium was ancient and small, we skipped the show and then lucked out and got a private tour by the planetarium guy when we ducked our heads in to check it out.

Ambiana liked the bears even though they were stuffed and really wanted to know which tooth the bear bit me with way back in 1994.
