Weekend in Boston

We picked Gaelen up on Friday and took him with us to Hampshire College for a conference Colleen needed to maintain her social work license. Here he is checking out his website before the conference dinner.

After the conference we spent the night with a new friend a Smith College before heading into Boston the next day for Maya's 4th Birthday party which we found upon waking was cancelled because katie was really sick. We decided to go to Boston anyway as I wanted to run in the Doyle's 5 Mile Franklin Park Run so we headed to South Hadley and had breakfast at the Egg and I just like old times.

In Boston we picked up Maya and headed to Gamma's and the Science Museum by Orange Line Train.

Gamma had to butt down the stairs at Science Park as it is not handicapped accessible.

The museum was fun though we all split up into groups of 2 and did our own things. here Maya and Ambiana are birds sitting on their nests.

We walked from the museum along the esplanade to Pizzaria Uno near Gamma's house and Gamma treated us to dinner. Then we all slept over at Gamma's so katie could have a night of rest.

On Sunday Ambiana and I ran the Doyles Run along with 2000 others. I finished in 43:24 which is quite good considering I have only run 3 times in the last 6 months.

Afterwards we feasted on the free food at Doyles.

Back at Katie and Bob's, Maya, Ambiana and Gaelen frosted the cake...

...and we had an abbreviated party for Maya. Her and Ambiana made birthday crowns and we gave Maya her present: A Wizard of Oz Puppet Set and Theater..

...and Maya, Katie and Gaelen put on a puppet show for us!
