Gaelen's 1st Visit in Vermont

Gaelen came and spent the weekend with us. It was his first time in our new home. He woke early and he and Ambiana made us a "pizza breakfast" with the new kitchen that Colleen bought when we first moved in.

After a real breakfast we went out to the garden left behind by the previoud tenants, very overgrown that colleen has been salvaging, and both Gaelen and Ambiana helped Colleen search among the plants for tomatoes, carrots, beets, kale and cucumbers.

Here is the bounty they found!

We then set off through the back pasture to the woods to explore the creeks and forest.

It is super mossy and sweet back in the woods, there are lots of big rocks and special places back there and we had a fun time discovering some of them. Gaelen really loves being outdoors exploring and climbing all over everything.

In the afternoon we went across the street to the river behind Daniel and Flora-se's place and frolicked in the stream. It is really beautiful there with a dramatic rock gorge and waterfall.

We closed out the day with a fire beside our backyard pond. No having to go across the street and down to a polluted riverbank for our fires like we did in South Hadley. Now the firecircle is out in our peaceful back meadow and it was a real treat to sit beside the fire and watch the stars come out!
