1st "Real" Snow!!

We had our first snowfall that stuck on the ground yesterday. We are way excited, it feels right to have snow in late October and we love it! Last year we skipped winter and the year before living in South Hadley we didn't get our 1st measurable snowfall until late in January. I feel more in tune with the seasons here in Vermont. Ambiana got into her snowsuit for the 1st time and we went out and ate snow, made snow angels and snowballs...

...and took a hike up to the FairyHouse beside the mountain swamp through the beautiful snowy woods behind our home. Ambiana played in the snow while I cut a few more saplings and bent them to complete the greenhouse frame.

I tied the saplings together when Colleen came home from work. She is working 3 days a week in the mornings and I get to stay home with Ambiana then go to work when she gets home. I love my special time with Ya!

Wednesday night was pumpkin carving night. Ambiana was a super pumpkin scooper-outer.

We carved 5 pumpkins in anticipation of our Samhaim Ancestors' Feast on Sunday November 2nd. Click on the link to learn more about that :)!
