Chicago

We arrived in Chicago on the last day of April and spent 3 days with Colleen's mom in Palatine. We tried to go to the Nature Museum on a rainy day but it was closed for a fundraiser so we went to the Conservatory instead and then to the Farm at the Zoo. It really didn't matter what we did it was just nice to be with them.

Because it was raining Colleen carried Ya on her front which really brought home to us how much she has grown as you can see in the picture :)

We watched a chick hatch out of its egg at the Farm in the Zoo and then Ambiana had to hatch herself!

On Saturday Colleen's Dad came over and met Kris and Bill for the 1st time. We had a nice dinner and pleasant conversation and I'm sure it was really nice for both Kris and Jim to connect.

I myself re-connected with an old friend from BU who I have not seen in 21 years. Hare Bear, or Andy Harris relocated to Chicago 2 years ago and works as a reporter for Bloomberg News. He and his fiance Shawn drove out to Orland Park to visit us and it was like I had just seen him yesterday!
