Thanksgiving

We set off on our Thanksgiving roadtrip on Nov 19th on our way to Chicago. We stopped firstto pick up Gaelen and then headed to the Scahill’s in Webster NY for the night. We spent the next day with them riding bikes and scooters and visiting the Planetarium where we saw a cool show about Black Holes, I remember going to see the play Dracula there about 30 years ago. We got to see Katie Scahill again, last time we saw her Ambiana was still in Colleen’s Belly and we were living in Massachusetts

We set off Saturday night for Chicago, me with 32oz of coffee and Dan Brown’s Lost Symbol on my I-pod. We made great time and arrived at 4am and slept in the car until Bill woke us about 5:30am and let us in the house to sleep. We spent 3 days with Colleen’s Mom and family. They took the kids to see The Wizard of Oz play while Jakobi and I hung back and went for a run. On Tuesday we took the train into Chicago and went to the Aquarium

Four Generations of Kmecik-Kutin-Glavin women

Four generations and great-grandpa Jack

We spent a wonderful night at the Clancy’s hanging with Anne and Bob and their lovely gals, here is Ambiana with Colleen

Thanksgiving dinner was at Karen and Steve’s, all the Kutin’s were there

We stopped in Toledo on the way home to visit with my Dad and sister Patti

We went to the Imagination Station downtown and ran into the Holiday Parade

The Imagination Station was lots of fun, Colleen rode a bike on a high wire, we floated in Space, did the local sportscast, Jakobi played firegirl and Gaelen and Ambiana tugged and tugged.

We eneded our trip the way we began with a night at the Scahills, we visited the Rochester Science Museum before heading back home and Gaelen and Ambiana played archeologist and dug up some mastadon bones. We dropped Gaelen off at 10pm and made it back to Vermont before 1am. Another roadtrip over and done.
