We ate dinner in a park in Paonia where Yaya and I got cozy hiding from the cold wind. We were the only campers in the campground and it snowed a trace upon us overnight.

The next day we drove up over the pass and stopped ata waterfall we visited on the way West last September before heading into Glenwood Springs.

Hanging lake

After shopping for food and before arriving at Tony's in Fairplay we stopped in Glenwood Canyon and hiked up to Hanging Lake.

We also stopped here in September and Ambiana remembered it as it was the waterall that set off her fascination with waterfalls!



After hiking down we drove to Fairplay and stayed at Tony's house. He was in North Carolina but was gracious enough to let us spend the night in his house. It was super cold up at 10,000 feet and we were grateful to be indoors.
