Red Sox Sweep Yankees Again!


The Red Sox swept the Yankees again this time at the new Yankee Stadium. Lester pitched the first game which was delayed over 2 hours due to rain. The Sox went up 4-0 scoring in each of the first 4 innings before the Yankees mounted a comeback of sorts coming within 1 run, 4-3 in the 5th.

Bay stroked a 2 run homer in the 7th and Paplebon got his 7th save despite loading the bases in the 9th. This one ended at 1:10am

In the 2nd game the Sox scored 4 times before recording an out in the 1st, 3 runs coming on Jason bay's 3 run homer. Chamberlain mowed them down after that striking out 12 and Johnny Damon kept it close with a 3 run homer in the 3rd but the Sox pulled away scoring twice in the 8th and adding one more in the 9th for a 7-3 win with Beckett getting the victory despite being outpitched by Joba
