{"id":2628,"date":"2026-07-20T16:16:01","date_gmt":"2026-07-20T16:16:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/eagleledge\/?p=2628"},"modified":"2026-07-20T16:23:04","modified_gmt":"2026-07-20T16:23:04","slug":"u-32-track-the-vt-mountaineers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/eagleledge\/?p=2628","title":{"rendered":"U-32 Track &#038; The VT Mountaineers"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2026\/JULY\/bobimountaineer.JPG\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>On FridayJakobi got to go onto the infield before the Moutaineer game as a member of the U-32 Track and Cross-Country teams who were being honored for their State Championship seasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2026\/JULY\/IMG_0407.MOV\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2026\/JULY\/mommymountaineer.JPG\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Colleen even came to the game to see her be honored!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Champlain Valley Gem, Mineral and Fossil Show<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2026\/JULY\/gem1.JPG\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>On Saturday I drove into Essex to go to the 45th Annual Champlain Valley Gem, Mineral and Fossil Show at the Essex fairgrounds. It was awesome, like going to the museum except I could purchase the rocks and fossils. The show was put on by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.burlingtongemandmineralclub.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">BURLINGTON GEM AND MINERAL CLUB<\/a> of which our famly is now a member of through the rest of 2026 and the whole of 2027!  They have monthly meetings and go on fossil and mineral collecting field trips!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2026\/JULY\/gem9.JPG\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">There was a Rock Petting Zoo&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2026\/JULY\/gem2.JPG\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">&#8230;which featrured a 100 million year old large Ammonite!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2026\/JULY\/gem3.JPG\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2026\/JULY\/gem5.JPG\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">There were even pyrtie preserved ammonites!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2026\/JULY\/gem4.JPG\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2026\/JULY\/gem7.JPG\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>There were lots of craftspeople and fossil and gem hunters selling their wares!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2026\/JULY\/gem6.JPG\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">There were even flourescent gems for sale!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2026\/JULY\/gem8.JPG\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center\">Wiki turns 21<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2026\/JULY\/wiki1.JPG\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Also on Saturday Erika &#8220;Wiki&#8221;  Laxer turned 21. She can now go to Charlie-O&#8217;s!  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2026\/JULY\/wiki3.JPG\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>She had a contradance part in the Hog barn and Ambiana called a few dances and Colleen sat in with the band!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2026\/JULY\/wiki4.JPG\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center\">Mountaineers 11  Gulls 1<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2026\/JULY\/mountaineergame2.JPG\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2026\/JULY\/mountaineergame22.JPG\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>On Sunday Jakobi and I went to another Mountaineeer Game. They crushed newport 11-1 and the coaches got into a fight and our coach after getting thrown out threw a garbage can full of trash onto the field. It was super exciting!
