I travelled to Boston on Saturday to see Kristen Hersh and Throwing Muses at the Paradise which is right behind my freshman dorm at BU. The first time I saw Throwing muses was March 1st 1986 (40 years ago)<\/strong> in Cambridge MA at the now gone TT the Bear\u2019s. I saw them also at the Rat, and in NYC at CBGB’s though I can find no record of that show. Kristen has been consistently releasing music for the last 40 years and has been a significant part of the soundtrack of my life. I saw her as part of a trio in Somerville in 2019 and in March 2018 with Tanya Donelly at the City Winery but this was my first Throwing Muses Show in 38 years!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They did not disappoint and I spent the whole set dancing while the rest of the crowd stood like a herd of cows. It was a bit disappointing but expected. I just couldn’t help myself, music is for moving and it sucks that as a species here in the West we have forgotten that!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harvard Museum of Natural History Part II<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I came down early in the day so I could spend 4 hours in the rock room at the Harvard Museum of Natural History. I got through half of it! and these are some of my favorites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also left the gift shop with another ammonite fossil. This once carved and polished into a small saucer perfect for covering my morning mug of tea!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Up in Vermont we got the hydropower going again!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I strolled through the BU campus on my way to the show and was really taken with how cool the Computer Science building is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
