On Monday our flight was not until 11:50pm and Dale and Kristie were working and Justin was in school so we decided to spend the day in downtown Denver at the 16th Street Mall…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

…and the Denver Art Museum!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a pleasant surprise how much we enjoyed the 2 hours we spent there. The building was very modern with lots of interesting angles, staircases and exhibit spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collection was amazing too with three floors of Indigenous art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were cool terraces on each of the 7 floors overlooking the downtown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They even had a painting by my favorite American landscape artist Thomas Cole!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After dinner we headed to the airport and caught our red eye to Philadelphia where we slept for a few hours at the gate and then caught a quick flight to Boston where we retrieved our car and drove 3.5 hours home where we found our snow almost gone!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
