We arrived at Dale, Kristie and Justin’s house in Denver on Friday evening. It has been 10 years since we were last here and the neighborhood has grown since then. It was nice to be together with Colleen’s brothers family again. We last saw them when they visited us In Vermont in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We spent the day bowling and racing go-karts and then went out to eat and to see…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They theater was swanky with recliner seats that turned into little beds!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Super comfy way to watch the movie which was excellent!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Sunday we met up with Colleen’ sister Elyse and her boyfriend Austin. Elyse is the daughter of Colleen’s biological father. She and Austin have been in Denver for 18 months and Elyse works as a trauma nurse at the same hospital Kristie works at as a Lab Supervisor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had a nice lunch at Bad Brothers Burgers and enjoyed our time seeing and catching up with Elyse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then we went to an escape room at Puzzle Effect<\/a> and played “Grim Stacks”. It was a Harry Potterish themed room in which the owner of a mystical bookshop is up to something sinister. He has captured a mystical creature and plans to use it to take revenge against the Arcane Library. You must sneak into his shop, find the creature, and rescue it before his plan can be carried out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We all contributed to solving the many challenges that led us through a series of three rooms unlocking boxes as we went until we were successful in finding and releasing the invisible creature. We didn’t need any clues and “escaped” in 47 minutes and 32 seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
