{"id":1864,"date":"2023-03-13T18:51:59","date_gmt":"2023-03-13T18:51:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/eagleledge\/?p=1864"},"modified":"2023-03-13T18:51:59","modified_gmt":"2023-03-13T18:51:59","slug":"iron-chef-jr-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/eagleledge\/?p=1864","title":{"rendered":"Iron Chef Jr 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2023\/MARCH\/ic3.JPG\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2023\/MARCH\/ic3.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1916\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Jakobi and her friends Adara and Nora competed in the Iron Chef Jr competition this past weekend at the Champlain Valley Expo Center in Essex Jct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2023\/MARCH\/ic1.JPG\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2023\/MARCH\/ic1.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1917\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Teams from Vermont Middle and High Schools competed to see who could produce the best dish using Vermont sourced ingredients. Jakobi, Nora and Adara, calling their team <strong><em>The Dumplings<\/em><\/strong>, reprensented the Homeschooling Community and made a Potatoe Leek Soup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2023\/MARCH\/ic4.JPG\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2023\/MARCH\/ic4.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1918\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>They have been practicing for weeks. They had 90 minutes to prep, cook and plate their soup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2023\/MARCH\/ic2.JPG\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2023\/MARCH\/ic2.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1919\"\/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><strong>Jakobi &amp; Adara<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2023\/MARCH\/ic5.JPG\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2023\/MARCH\/ic5.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1920\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>They did not win an award but one of the judges really loved them and spent alot of time watching and talking to them. The soup was super yummy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center\">Jakobi and Me Ski Cochranes!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2023\/MARCH\/ski2.JPG\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2023\/MARCH\/ski2.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1922\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Jakobi and I went skiing at Cochranes this past Friday. We love their $5 night skiing and it it up earlybefore the crowd arrived. We got lots of nice runs in on the courduroy and enjoyed our time on the T-Bar lift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2023\/MARCH\/ski1.JPG\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2023\/MARCH\/ski1.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1921\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2023\/MARCH\/ski4.JPG\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2023\/MARCH\/ski4.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1924\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The grandson of the Cochrane Ski Area founder won a Silver Medal in the 2022 Winter Olympics<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2023\/MARCH\/ski3.JPG\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2023\/MARCH\/ski3.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1923\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>After 3 years the family stryle dinner is back!
