This past weekend was pure Autumnal Splendor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center\">Three Pond Paddle<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2022\/OCTOBER\/paddle1.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3954\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>On Friday Colleen and I woke up and paddled the Three Pond Loop right out our door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2022\/OCTOBER\/paddle4.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3957\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>We start in our pond and pass through the grass to Secret Pond which is not another pond but a hidden cove. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2022\/OCTOBER\/paddle7.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3960\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2022\/OCTOBER\/paddle6.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3959\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Hobart Mt. from our pond<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2022\/OCTOBER\/paddle8.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3962\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p> We then pull out and portage about 200 yards through the woods and marshland to Middle Pond which we paddle across and into the strait between Middle Pond and Worcester Pond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2022\/OCTOBER\/paddle9.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3963\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The strait is a series of narrow beaver ponds and channels separated by about 10 small narrow beaver dams. We paddle over these and Colleen has a novel approach to doing so; check out the video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2022\/OCTOBER\/paddle10.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3964\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video aligncenter\"><video controls src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2022\/OCTOBER\/kayak.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2022\/OCTOBER\/paddle11.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3965\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>After the dams we portage around a small waterfall and then paddle out of the woods into Worcester Pond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2022\/OCTOBER\/paddle12.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3966\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2022\/OCTOBER\/paddle13.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3967\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Worcester Pond is very shallow and full of lily pads and surrounded by beautiful foilage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2022\/OCTOBER\/paddle14.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3968\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2022\/OCTOBER\/paddle15.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3969\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2022\/OCTOBER\/paddle16.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3970\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>After paddling around Worcester Pond we pull out on our neighbors property and walk the mile home retrieving the kayaks with the truck. Paddling back over the beaver dams is too much work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center\">Tree House Hill<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2022\/OCTOBER\/hill1.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3971\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Climbing Tree House Hill across the creek is like entering a cathedral of trees on a sunny autumn afternoon.
