Weekend with Gaelen<\/h2>\n

Our cozy winter home! February was the month Winter finally showed up with a couple of big snowfalls near the month’s end!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We’ve cut a nice path from our parking space to our front door. We have not been snowed in yet, there are some folk with a camp further up the road who have plowed after each big snowfall. We are very grateful!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Gaelen happened to be with during one big snowfall so we got to play in the snow with him. Here we are burying Colleen in the snow; a variation on burying her in the sand like we did in Hawai’i.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The kids pose by a job well done!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We decided to do some cross country skiing and hooked Gaelen up with some snowshoes.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Ambiana is a little af’eared of hills even itty-bitty ones, here she navigates the roll down to our parking spot with Jakobi, who has no fear, right behind her.<\/p>\n

We live in the most beautiful woods with a great groomed trail just out the door maintained by the Vermont Association of Snow Travelers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

It is called the VAST trail and it is great for cross country skiing upon!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We share the trails with snowmobiles. Upon hearing one we move over. Ambiana moved over so abruptly she came right out of her boot!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
