Lake Umbagog Campground with Mark, Sarah, Ollie and Erika and rose on Saturday to a beautiful day to begin our 3 day paddle trip on a segment of the Northern Canoe Trail. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2021\/JULY\/umbagog2.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2851\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>We put in on a river in the Umbagog National Wildlife Refuge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2021\/JULY\/umbagog3.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2852\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2021\/JULY\/umbagog1.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2853\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>We were a flotilla of two double sea kayaks, two single kayaks and a canoe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2021\/JULY\/umbagog5.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2854\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">It was a three mile paddle to the lake, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2021\/JULY\/umbagog6.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2855\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">We stopped along the river for lunch<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2021\/JULY\/umbagog7.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2856\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2021\/JULY\/klepper1.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2876\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Mark paddled a collapsible wooden and canvas Keppler kayak that his family paddled in when he was a kid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2021\/JULY\/klepper2.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2877\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2021\/JULY\/umbagog8.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2857\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>It was a 4 mile paddle across the lake and into the river up which was located our campsite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2021\/JULY\/umbagog9a.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2858\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter class=\"wp-image-2860\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Our neighbors at the campsite were 15 teenage boys attending a 2 week whitewater intro kayaking camp<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2021\/JULY\/umbagog11.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2862\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Jakobi is a river otter<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2021\/JULY\/umbagog14.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2863\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>There was a Boggle competition and Sarah and Erika trounced Colleen and Ambiana<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"has-text-align-center\">sunday<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2021\/JULY\/umbagog17.JPG\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2864\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Sunday was a long paddle the length of the lake, 8-10 miles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.mochiandcolleen.com\/images\/2021\/JULY\/umbagog16.JPG\"
