Micro-Hydro Update

For the intake a drilled 1/4″ holes in a 2″ section of 4″ PVC

The intake spot- 90 feet above the PowerSpout

The intake in place

I am using 2 jets on the PowerSpout so i had to construct a PVC bypass for the 2nd jet.

The pipe- 2″ polyethylene in 100′ length- 4 of them

My friend and helper Lee

At first we tried uncoiling the pipe as we went up the gorge…

..didn’t work so well so we had to uncoil them first.

..and weigh them down with blocks to achieve straightness.

…then it was much easier to drag them up the gorge.

Lee putting a pipe length in place

The pipe attached to the intake pipe.

Lee hammers a connecter into place.

A length of pipe dropping down the gorge.

Two sections of pipe joined together.

The first section of pipe from the intake. The vertical tube is a vacuum break.

The first attempt at a base for the Powerspout.

Lee getting ready to hook the pipe up to the Powerspout.

A job well done!
