Jakobi and her friends Adara and Nora competed in the Iron Chef Jr competition this past weekend at the Champlain Valley Expo Center in Essex Jct.
Teams from Vermont Middle and High Schools competed to see who could produce the best dish using Vermont sourced ingredients. Jakobi, Nora and Adara, calling their team The Dumplings, reprensented the Homeschooling Community and made a Potatoe Leek Soup.
They have been practicing for weeks. They had 90 minutes to prep, cook and plate their soup.
They did not win an award but one of the judges really loved them and spent alot of time watching and talking to them. The soup was super yummy!
Jakobi and Me Ski Cochranes!
Jakobi and I went skiing at Cochranes this past Friday. We love their $5 night skiing and it it up earlybefore the crowd arrived. We got lots of nice runs in on the courduroy and enjoyed our time on the T-Bar lift.
The grandson of the Cochrane Ski Area founder won a Silver Medal in the 2022 Winter Olympics
After 3 years the family stryle dinner is back! We enjoyed Mac n Cheese with real VT Cabot Cheese!
