Ben and Carolina and their girls Eva Luna and Aveah arrived on Monday after a weekend spent in the White Mountains and swimming holes along the Kancamagus Highway.
It was the first time Ben has visited us in Vermont and we put him up in the Long House for the week. We had a pizza cookout the night he arrived and took him and his fam to Curtis Pond on Monday and then after a yum dinner we took a sauna.

On Wednesday we went to Community Lunch then spent the afternoon clearing brush from the trails on our homestead.
For dinner I made my family famous Huevos Rancheros and Ben and Carolina provided some corn on the cob
We Visit Ben & Jerry’s!
On Thursday Colleen and Carolina went to the Green River Reservoir for an overnight kayak camping trip, Ambiana was at work all week with the Montpelier Conservation Corps so Jakobi and I took Ben and the cousins to the Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream factory!
…and jump in Bingham Falls
We then hiked down to Bingham Falls and took a swim in the cold water beneath the cascade.

Friday Farmers To You hosted a pizza party for its employees and their families at Red Hen and Ben and his family joined us.
It was a lovely week with Ben and his beautiful family and now they are off to a lake house in the Adirondacks and then a canoe trip while we are off to Cape Cod for a week. We plan to meet up with them in 2 weeks in Massena at Uncle John and Aunt Julie’s house.
